Have you hugged a seal today?

Outside the Chinese Gardens.

Picking out pommegranite seeds. Megan and Zoe tend to devour the seeds faster than we can free them. Ali has no interest in eating the seeds, but has discovered they are fun to squish between her fingers.

Megan does Happy Feet while Zoe searches for food.

good to the last drop

Zoe takes daddy's ramen very seriously. Why waste any when you can suck it up with a straw?

rump roast

Zoe practices her fork and knife skills on Pooh bear. I expect we'll be hearing from PETA soon.

Megan riding her bike. She's so far away because I'm pushing Zoe in the stroller.

Fort

This is the fort we made. It had a tunnel entrance, a backdoor, and several windows. It served as Megan's den for about a week.

Dee is visiting us for the weekend. We had lunch at Red Robin and then went to Megan's Taekwondo class. Tomorrow we are going to feast on Dim Sum and then play at OMSI

The helmets are from bike riding. The sticks were too enticing to pass up.

Making whipped cream

Zoe started out using the whisk, but quickly discovered it was more fun to stick her hand in the bowl and eat the rewards!

Whole lotta fur

Auggie is grooming Duke. It is strange that they are almost the same color.

I'm not sure if they are friends or just havent' found a way to eat eachother yet.

Animals!

Balls weren't enough. We also added all the stuffed animals we could find.

Balls!

On Friday we decided we weren't quite ready to give up summer. I brought in the (former) swimming pool and we filled it with balls.

Zoe's bike helmet

Zoe *loves* hats. Her new bike helmet makes her very happy. In this picture she is wearing it fresh out of the box, so it isn't sized yet (in case anyone was wondering).

Protector or predator?

This is what I saw when I woke up this morning. I can't decide if Auggie was sitting and protecting Zoe or if he was in the planning stages of trying to eat her.

I love this look!
